Douglas comes from a long line of artists, designers, builders, farmers, and crafts-folk. Douglas is both a painter and a craftsman. His oil and watercolors are heavily influenced by post impressionism and mid-century realism. He is a craftsman working in wood, metal, and concrete. Bringing the natural through his work both in painting and creation is paramount.

Douglas and his wife Brooke call the foothills of the Wasatch home with their two boys. Family, the outdoors, their menagerie of animals, and working on their century-old home brings them joy.
