I am Mary Jane Burton. After graduating from BYU in Art and Design, I got married to a cool guy and we had five awesome kids. I quickly found out that when I did have some down time, oil painting was too stressful with cute kids running around getting in it. So I happily focused on drawing and watercolor painting. When my kids were in high school, I went back to school to get a teaching credential. I taught art and ceramics to cute and rowdy middle schoolers. It was fun trying out different mediums and themes with them. Now that I’m retired, I get to do all the oil painting I want. I love scrumptious clouds, mountains, flowers and putting them all down creatively on canvas or paper.
