Leo R. Platero is a talented Navajo draftsman and painter in acrylics, who lives and works in Montezuma Creek, Utah. He studied art at Brigham Young University, and his specialty is semi-abstract landscape.

Leo taught art for 30 years at Whitehorse high school in southeastern Utah on the Navajo Reservation. Now he lives in Draper. He has taught at two senior centers. Draper and Riverton He's also taught two years in Brigham City. Intermountain Indian School in the 70s.
