I'm Jolyn Johnson and I'm an artist, musician and avid traveler. I live in Provo, Utah with my amazing husband, two dogs, two rabbits, and two tortoises. This fall we will be adding a baby boy to this zoo we call home.

I have a bachelor's degree in Commercial Music from UVU and I am working on a second degree in art and design. I've been interested in art my entire life but I decided to pursue it more seriously after working in a behavioral hospital, funny enough. I've been doing commission work and exploring various mediums over the past couple years and I've been having a blast.

This past year I have decided to start an Instagram account called Jo the Traveling Painter in order to combine my passion for art and world travel. I believe we have a lot to learn from the world around us and I want to share those things that bring me wonder. With each piece I paint, I challenge myself to imbue these pieces with the same awe and wonder I felt while experiencing these things in real life. If I can make you feel something that makes you more interested in the world around you, then I've done my job right.
